International Mother Tongue Day
Celebrating Mother Tongue Day at Cleveland Primary School!
Although International Mother Tongue Day fell on 21st February during the half-term break, the celebrations at Cleveland Primary School were just as vibrant and meaningful when our students returned!
In the week following the break, our children took part in a variety of exciting activities to honour their heritage and the beauty of languages from around the world. From sharing stories and songs in their mother tongues to exploring different cultural traditions, the school was filled with joy and curiosity.
One of the highlights was the creation of stunning artwork by our talented students. Each piece celebrated their unique cultural backgrounds, showcasing the pride they feel for their roots and the diversity that makes our school community so special.
This celebration was a wonderful reminder of the power of language and culture to bring us together. We are incredibly proud of our students for embracing their identities and learning from one another in such a creative and meaningful way.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration a success. Let’s continue to celebrate the rich tapestry of languages and cultures that make Cleveland Primary School such a unique and inspiring place to learn and grow!
