European Day of Languages

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are thrilled to share the success of our European Day of Languages celebration, which took place on 25th September 2024. This annual event is a wonderful opportunity for our school to celebrate the diversity of languages and cultures within Europe and inspire our students to appreciate the beauty of global traditions.

This year, we were proud to highlight Spain’s rich cultural heritage by teaching students the traditional Galician dance, the Muñeira. Under the expert guidance of our brilliant Spanish lead, Ana Carrera, the children enthusiastically learned the vibrant steps and rhythms of this iconic dance, while also exploring its historical and cultural significance.

The event was a fantastic showcase of our commitment to promoting cultural awareness and fostering a love for languages and traditions. Seeing our students embrace the joy of the Muñeira was truly heart-warming, and it was a reminder of the power of cultural exchange in bringing communities closer together.
