Cleveland Road Primary School is a community school, located in Ilford.
We are very proud of the special atmosphere which exists in our school, with a happy, working relationship between staff and pupils. We believe that children who are happy and excited by their learning will make good progress. By encouraging children to make their own decisions, we aspire to develop independence, self-reliance, confidence and concern for others.
Our aim is to develop a confident child, who works hard and enjoys learning across a broad range of areas including: Art, Drama, Sport and Music, as well as partaking in after-school clubs and playing a full role in the life of the school and the wider community. We place a strong emphasis on high standards of manners and good behaviour.
Our school includes twenty-seven large, bright classrooms housed in a three-storey Victorian building with a separate building for our Nursery. We educate children from age 3 (Nursery) to age 11 (Year 6).
Our well-resourced school offers a wide range of facilities for the children including: two computer suites (in addition to classroom computers and iPads); a well-stocked library; a music room; two separate dining halls; a bespoke children’s kitchen for cooking lessons; and two playgrounds. Our outdoor space includes a quiet area, climbing wall and games areas in addition to designated areas for our Nursery and Reception pupils.
The school welcomes children each weekday morning from 8:45am, with registration beginning at 8:55am. It is important that all children are in school by 8:55am, so that they do not miss out on essential learning. The School Day ends at 3:15pm.
