Cleveland Road Primary School is a community school, located in Ilford.
We are very proud of the special atmosphere which exists in our school. A happy, working relationship exists between staff and pupils. We believe that children who are happy and excited by their learning will make good progress. By encouraging children to make their own decisions, we aspire to develop independence, self-reliance, confidence and concern for others.
Our aim is to develop a confident child, who works hard and enjoys learning across a broad range of areas including: Art, Drama, Sport and Music, as well as partaking in after-school clubs and playing a full role in the life of the school. We place a strong emphasis on high standards of manners and good behaviour.
Our school includes twenty-five large, bright classrooms housed in a three-storey Victorian building with a separate building for our Nursery. We educate children from age three (Nursery) to age 11 (Year 6).
We place a great emphasis upon ensuring our school is well resourced and resources we offer include; three computer suites (in addition to classroom computers and iPads), two well-stocked libraries, a music room, two separate dining halls, a bespoke children’s kitchen for cooking lessons and two playgrounds with a quiet area, climbing wall and games areas to support children’s learning and encourage them to grow as individuals.
The school welcomes children each weekday morning from 8:45 am, with registration beginning at 8:55 am. It is important that all children are in school by 8:55 am, so that they do not miss out on essential learning. The School Day ends at 3:15 pm.
